The big building is loosely based on a Salish longhouse. I wanted to find a style for the ice-breathers’ art that was visually distinct from the fire-breathers’ art we’ll see later, and which sort of evoked formline art without actually being formline since a) I’m white as a polar bear in a snowstorm and b) formline hard.
